Name: Cocoa
Size:
Mini
Age: 14 Year
Gender:
Male
Cocoa has unbelievable personality and is perfectly behaved. His little face is so irresistible! You can’t help but love him.
He came into rescue after is elderly owner passed away. Cocoa is overweight, but is adapting to his weight loss regime without any difficultly. He appears to be a bit hard of hearing, but that is not a problem as he loves human contact and never strays far from the person with whom he attaches.
He is quite playful and loves to fetch. He is great on the leash and enjoys regular walks. His endurance is quite remarkable, given his age. He has some difficulty with stairs as he has lived his whole life in a home with no steps but he is making progress learning to climb them.
Cocoa gets along great with other dogs and shares his food and toys without any aggression. He is friendly with all people and good with children.
Cocoa does not like being alone, so he would be best suited in a home with someone home most of the time.
If you are looking for a companion who will love you unconditionally, Cocoa is the dog for you!
Coco is being fostered in NH and his adoption donation is $300
You've read about PRNE's rescue of six dogs from a horrible hording situation in Dudley, MA. These are before and after pictures of a couple of the dogs that were part of this rescue. Please consider being an Angel for these pups.
This is a TRUE rescue. All the dogs were
scheduled to
be euthanized on the following Tuesday. If it weren't for PRNE
and another
rescue, these beautiful souls would have had a tragic ending.
We need
financial help so that we can provide all that's necessary to
get these
dogs ready for their new homes. Please help us by making a
tax-deductible
donation either through our Angel
Program (please indicate that you would like to be an
angel to the
"March Rescue Dogs") or by mailing a check to: P.O.
Box 441447, Somerville, MA 02144-0012.
We are so grateful to our volunteers who helped in this
mission and
to those who are fostering these dogs. It's a long road ahead
for these
sweet little beings and we're going to be with them for the
the long
haul. Won't you help us to help them?

Update from his foster family: Charlie, Charlie Bear, Happy Feet, Prancing Funny Man – these are just some of the nicknames Charlie has earned from his foster mom. Originally from the batch of dogs PRNE rescued from a back yard breeder in CT, Charlie had some medical conditions that have since been treated as his continues to thrive in his foster home. Since Charlie was one of the stud dogs for the back yard breeder, we really weren’t sure what to expect. Especially after he was neutered and entered his new foster home and lifted his leg on his foster mom – not once but twice! With a little effort & training, Charlie has become an exceptional little dog. He’s been housetrained; crate trained and plays well with the three other dogs in the household. Charlie is independent but loves to be in your company – and he’s the first in the car when it’s time to go for a ride. His hobbies include: rolling in the clean laundry (as it’s on the bed being folded), snuggling in a fuzzy blanket, and playing ball. Oh, he does enjoy a good nap too.
