If you will be in the Attleboro tomorrow between 2 and 3pm, stop by the Goldmark Credit Union at 155 Pleasant Street to meet Little Orphan Annie. Annie will be making a public appearance at Goldmark, where a fund has been set up for donations to help pay for the surgery Annie needs on her knees. For more information, please read here.
Many of you watched the news clip about Little Orphan Annie yesterday. She was left alone in the middle of the night on a busy street, her life was saved by a fast thinking police officer. Horribly matted, it took several hours under anesthesia to remove her coat - underneath which was found black mold. Annie had a double ear infection so severe that her ear canals were swollen almost shut, her nails were growing into the pads of her feet and her fur was so matted she could hardly see and her mobility was compromised. It has been determined that she needs bi-lateral repair of luxating patellas which will need to be performed before she can be adopted.
Now in foster care, Annie has started her physical healing and has already began blossoming into a lovely dog. Estimated at about 2 years old she is friendly, affectionate and trusting despite what she may have been through. She craves attention and is a total lap dog. She has a long life ahead of her and the good stuff has only just begun for Little Annie!
Please do two things to help Annie. First, read more about her here. Then, please donate for her care here.
